Hello! I'm a London–based web designer looking for new opportunities. I'm currently putting the final touches on my final project for my MA in Web Design & Content Planning at the University of Greenwich. Keen on content creation and copywriting, I'm eager to continue working with new technologies.

Selected pieces I'm particularly fond of. A complete listing of my MA coursework can be found further below.

About Me

Not counting the wild 1990s years of shrines, fansites, and webrings, the first website that fully wowed me was the Jurassic World film promo site back in 2015. Every childhood dream materialised on the screen before me. Paddock cams! Park maps! Restaurant menus! You could even head to the investors' page at Masrani Corp and apply for a job, which was a suspiciously easy process. The internet was a playground again, and I was a wide–eyed gawping kid once more. That version of the site has since disappeared, but the point was that I realised that websites could build worlds, help us suspend disbelief, and let us dream of possibilities.

I officially started my web design journey during the summer of 2020, when I realised that I felt the most fulfilled when I was making something, or involved in projects. While my background in education and library management allowed for small pockets of creativity, I was desperate to learn a trade that would translate across different sectors and industries.

I moved on to FreeCodeCamp, several Udemy courses, and then a MA in Web Design at the University of Greenwich. There, under the watchful eyes of my passionate tutors, I got to grips with semantic code, UX, design patterns, and illustration tools. And of course, content–first.

CV

The tl;dr: I'm a designer with experience of working with JavaScript, PHP, and Wordpress, and am familiar with prototyping tools such as Figma and Whimsical as well as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Prior to designing, I have worked in public library management and as a creative writing tutor for overseas students, as well as an Early Years teacher.
